Fire Cider

Fire cider is a home remedy that’s supposed to be helpful with a number of disturbances of the body, most noticeably, for us, colds and flus. Starwolf  went to a workshop on fire cider a few years back, and we kept meaning to try it but never got around to it

We were therefore delighted when one of our friends at Changing Times, Changing Worlds was offering it for sale, and even more delighted when she could tailor our jar to remove ingredients that disagreed with us

We’re currently waiting for our cider to mature, and will get to try it after December 1 to see if it works for us ( since it’s not a one size fits all universe.)

It’s Cold and Windy…

… and the drop in temperature and change for daylight savings has coincided with the beginnings of people beginning to get ready for the holidays. Planning. Shopping. Decorating.  Cooking. Wrapping.

It’s not surprising that more people are beginning to feel a little under the weather.

The holidays are a wonderful thing, but I’d like to remind you to take care of yourself while you  get ready to make merry with others.

• Dress warm.
• Get enough sleep
• Drink more fluids
• Listen to your body and give it what it needs
• Pace yourself. You’ve got enough time to get your holidays together and a holiday with less bells and whistles but you feeling good is better than a holiday with all the trimmings including colds or flu.

Put yourself on your own holiday list and do what you need to in order to be healthy so you can enjoy those holidays
